Things we discussed:
- Empty Bowls- we’ve going to have a throwing “party” on Friday, December 12th in the Ceramics studio starting at 1pm (probably to like 6pm, possibly a bit later or earlier). We’ll be demonstrating throwing and other ways to get involved in the project. There will be a bowl trimming session on the following Monday.

- Fundraisers- on December 7th there will be a baking party or parties to prepare for the bake sale on December 8th-12th. Please look for an email to sign up to work the table. We will be selling delicious goodies and hot chocolate.

-Mercy Relief for Art Programs (MRAP)- the committee decided that they would award the money to an art program in the area. We raised $300 which we are going to try to have matched. We are sending out forms for art teachers to fill out to figure out which schools would be entered in a lottery for the money raised. The forms will be mailed back by the end of the year and the money/(supplies) will be awarded near the end of January.

-Christmas on Campus- we’re going to be making Christmas Critters like we did last year. Set up will begin at 10:30 and the event runs from 11-2 on Saturday December 13th. Please contact Sarah or Lauren if you would like to be involved.

Things we discussed:
-Wikis, the club has a wiki, if you’re not a member yet, please join (using your last name as your username, so you can be identified) http://artedclub.wikispaces.com/

- Empty Bowls- we’ve decided we are not going to have the event every year, but we are still going to have throwing parties, look for a date in early December, we also formed a committee for this

-NAEA membership, Camille needs a photo-copy of your membership card by October 15th, this includes all Art Education students in the program, as well as the club (http://www.naea-reston.org/membership.html)

- Fundraisers- on November 3-7th, we’re going to have a sale/(bake sale?) table in Zurn, if you have any ideas for what to sell, please let us know! We will also be having one in December.

-PR Committee- Tyler offered to be “head” of this committee, he’s basically going to make/post flyers for us. Thanks Tyler!

- Manny’s Monster Mash- will be October 31st, 11am-5:30pm (Hopefully) in Garvey Park, we’ll be asking for volunteers to dress-up and take photos in 2-3 hours shifts, look for a signup later

-Tyler’s Winter Theme Art Auction- Saturday 12/13, Art needs to be turned in by end of October, needs name, a brief biography of you, along with some contact information for the bidder to contact us if they would like to look at other work if interesting in going (its 3 hours away), contact us!


-Next Meeting- October 9th (most likely) at 6:30. I will send an email out closer to the date. Also be sure to check the wiki! If you have any problems with this, feel free to email me.
